With more than 10 years in the local market, the experience of Viaplast S.A.C. allows it to be at the forefront in the manufacture of plastic products in low and high density polyethylene.

The company has in its production line with printed and laminated products, for which it has infrastructure that allows it to print up to eight colors (photographic quality) and laminator (solvent less).

The firm began operations by developing commercial monolayer bags. “Subsequently, in 2014, we entered the production segment of flexible laminated containers. The most developed structure is bioriented polyethylene and polypropylene (BOOP), materials used to package rice, sugar, gelatin, etc.”, said César Taxa Alarcón, general manager of Viaplast.

The segment of flexible laminates represents 60% of the total production, mostly for the food category of the interior of the country.

Trends

According to César Taxa, most foods sold in Peru, as well as other industries, require laminated packaging because they provide a greater conservation of the packaged products. “In this sense, we deliver optimal response times, quality and speed”, he said.

In addition, he said that they advise their customers - if they require it - on the idea and design of the packaging that is most convenient for its further development. “Our attention is personalized and we follow up in the aftermarket to meet all the requirements of our customers”, he stressed.

The executive, in dialogue with Plast Peru News, said that his company's main achievement was to have entered to manufacture laminates for packaging due to the investment of machinery and because it is a competitive sector and demanding by the demand of the local market.

In 2016, the company -Revealed Tax- grew about 13% in sales and at the end of the current year estimates to exceed 20% in that category. A larger venue is one of Viaplast's future projects.
