Aware of the commitment to environmental care and recycling, Akron, the brand of lubricants and automotive specialties, has decided to use PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic packaging in its products.
"These types of containers, are easy to produce, can be recycled, easily opened and closed, adequately protect our lubricants and by their malleability we can form different designs according to our customers' handling needs or for aesthetic reasons to support their sale", said the manager of Research and Product Development of Mexicana de Lubricantes SA of C.V. (Akron lubricants), ing. Luis Alfonso Martin Navarro.
He also stated that PET plastic containers are cheaper than metal containers and more resistant than carton containers.
It should be noted that Akron lubricants that are commercialized in liter and gallon containers are made of PET, material that allows the recycling of the containers and their reuse.
The manufacturing company counts with a human team committed to surpassing the expectations of the most demanding markets and the world trends towards the care of the nature. "Therefore, most of our products are packed in PET plastic that makes them environmentally friendly," said the executive.

Martin Navarro said that all suppliers of PET resin comply with what is established by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for being requirements of Food Safety Systems and Quality Systems, for that reason, both procedures endorse the absence of heavy metals and Allergens. "The metric parameters we use to evaluate our products are international," he said.
